I am late joining this Nieuport fun , but I really really like my Nieuport a lot .
And I thought the pilot that comes with it to be way too small . So I looked at a lot of Nieuport pics with pilots in them , and to my eye the DR-1 pilot looked the best , so I mounted a DR-1 pilot on mine , and if he is too large , I will just have to say that its a 7/8 scale replica Nieuport
On a completely windless day , I really like my Flyzone WW1 warbirds .

Does the prop angle seem to much to the right?

Description:
Just delivered from Tower Hobbies and out of box I noticed the angle of the prop seems a kilter. Before I try to maiden this I need to know what others think.
I had a champ and the angle didn't seem to be as severe as this. Maybe because the shaft seems to stick out more, it makes the thrust angle more apparent.

Thanks in advance for any replies, thoughts

Yeah, that is normal.

For reassurance, you can see me mention this in my maiden flight review, at about 4:18 in.

The right thrust on the Champ is disguised by having the nose molded with a slant in it. The UM T-28 is the same.

Yeah.. these come with what seems "overkill' down / right thrust.
Recently had to reglue a broken loose gearbox unit in the SE 5a.
Sans reference I got it different from OEM .. less down less right... realising this only when my Next Se5a model was delivered.
Reglued model Flies ' fine', better than before the repair IMO.
I'm thinking it's one of those lets' make it idiot proof, compromsies

I'm not following your line of thinking... what does thrust angle have to do with a pilot being an idiot? It's purely aerodynamics and thrust-correcting due to the model being so small.
