Just bite the bullet. You'll love it. It's great for practicing precision maneuvers and when you forget to switch to high rates it won't hurt as bad. Just invest in some props. Yes I bought Archie's out of their 11x7 props.

Shawn, I'll sell you one for 10 dollars.

Yes, I've had a couple more outings with this plane, and I have to say, I like it more every single time I take it up. As stated, is quite the hybrid. It excels at precision flight, and doubles as a 3d machine, with crazy fast roll rate. I can fly this inches above the ground as the design seems to make it very stable at low speed. It is not an energy machine like my Edge 540 Wattaplane, at least on my light setup, but I like this, as it is a completely different beast to fly.

If i totalled it, I would miss it. To me, that is the mark of a nice plane. I've yet to up the prop size to get a little more performance out of her, but she flew great in high wind, but when the wind drops, the precise nature of the design really shines.

Huck it! It'll fly just fine. Mine weighs 28 ounces and is perfect. More
than enough power and is still floaty. I can't be happier!

I recorded some KE type moves with this plane for someone a few days ago, so I'll post it here. These are the sort of things the Sbach just does so nicely. Just a few seconds worth, but makes me want to fly again!

Thanks guys. My kevlar pull cable snapped at the rudder horn joint. Is there another type of cable one should try? I guess the rudder horn cut into it over time

This stringing wire is a lot tougher and doesn't stretch as much as kevlar fishing line. I use it on my smaller SU-29:

I used the Dubro # 846 micro pull-pull kit on my big Sbach.

It has everything you need in one kit: plastic coated wire, ez-connectors, etc.. which makes it super easy to set up.
