Mini Cat

Hey all, I have a BBY Micro Scat Cat, that has been sitting around for awhile. What would be a good KV rating for this hull. It is 15 inches long and has ride pads installed that add about an inch in length.
Thanks
Joe

Can I see a picture of the ride pads?
I just looked it up. It looks really nice.

What size motor does it carry and do you want to race or just have a little speed?

Cat

I am not sure what size motor would be best. I am thinking 380 - 400 range. Just not sure what KV rating. I will post some pics later.

Is it just a bare hull?

I'm pretty sure it uses a 480.

"Adding to the fun is a Micro Scat Cat powered with a AON brushless T2815 3000kv motor this little cat is a hand full of fun. One of my Friends (Bill Oxidean) put in a 19t motor and 8 cells in a SAW setup and set the record at 40MPH. Lets see what you can do with one!"

That is way overkill though. I think this on 2s would be killer.

That is actually a little conservative. A 24mm inrunner between 40mm and 60mm in length would result in a racier setup.

This would give you a sportier, easier to maintain setup aimed for around 25000rpm.
3400kv for 2s; 2300kv for 3s

Thanks for the info. I've seen a video of Bill's cat on OSE. Trying to get a picture up, but it is tough with my 22 mo. old!
