Our Canadian laws seem to indicate that "Unmanned aircraft system maintainers should be licensed by Transport Canada, unless the UAV has a MTOW weight below 35 Kg, and the UAV is operated within visual range".
I had a long meeting with an insurance company yesterday and they will be insuring me and my UAV's as long as I keep my take-off wight below 30 lbs. That is the number they came back to me with, as in, they did their research and came back to me saying that is the max they will insure. |
