I'm actually thinking about getting one... I love wings and an EDF version is enticing.

The Popwing... you have to let me know what you think of it. Here's my current favorite and all-around go-to plane:

Ordered a Neptune yesterday from NP as I love my pop wing and this looks like a step up in performance from that.

Good to hear. Is your Popwing floaty? Any habits (death spiral, etc)?

I'll probably be ordering a Neptune on Friday.

No habits I have the 900mm one as there are 3 different sizes. The stock motor is underpowered but if you're a beginner it may suit you so I'd recommend getting the kit and upgrading the motor.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm semi-retired & work 3 days a wk. The same UPS guy also delivers to my work. Not quite the same but avoids having to explain to the Ms. what's in the BIGGER boxes

Hey, since you guys have your wings now are the fan blades balanced? How did the kit go together? How was the kit packaged? I recently purchased the Nitro Planes version of the 1200mm POP Wing and I've never seen a kit put together as perfect as this.

I maidened mine on Saturday.... she flies very well.

One issue for everyone to be aware of.....FLUTTER.

I am now going to change servos to MG and ensure little/no play in linkage. I saw this on flight one..... since it is a fast wing (being EDF and all) there is risk of stripping a servo since the stockers are plastic gears (I assume). At the very least tighen the linkage set up to eliminate any free play. Then it is just limited to gear play in servo itself.

Time To Fly?

Just got mine and trying to figure out where to measure the CG. Is it 170mm-180mm from the front or the rear of the wing?

Thanks

I didn't even check mine. I stuck a zippy 2800mah battery in and away I went. Flies awesome and can glide with no throttle at all for a long distance.
