This porker may yet need brakes....... or a 3000' runway. We'll see.
Here's my work station while fixing the blemishes. I have it on a 6' long table and the inner main wheels are sitting on the table, outer mains hanging off the sides! I'm almost done with the middle section. I have yet to add one more antenna and still have some cosmetic work left on the fuse and wing saddle, which I'm dreading because I hate working on wing fillets and wing saddles. But we are getting close.
Sadly, due to so many different primer episodes I will have to rub the ENTIRE plane down with 400 grit to remove all the accumulated overspray.
MIL is blowing into town today for Thanksgiving holiday so work will slow down now. Sure hope I can start paint early next week. Hans sent me plans for the next two builds so I need to finish the dollar nineteen up.

Subjects?

I ordered decals from Callie today. Now, granted, the gunships didn't have a lot of decals but Callie is doing it for $24 incl shipping.
Think about it, she sits down at her computer, formats for the particular plane, prints on vinyl stock and mails it out. All for $24? Now that's cheap and saves me hours fighting a computer/printer setup, I don't have to buy waterslide decal paper and then fight getting it all sized and printed out. And that's just half the battle, getting them on w/o any silvering, etc. No more decal softener, solvent, etc. Hey guys, use her services so we can keep her in business. No, I don't own any stock in Callie Graphics but will buy some when she goes public!

No secret. Hans and I talked about his venerable F-16 profile that he has been flying for several years every time he comes across the pond. We decided he needed a cooler plane and so I am going to build him a BIG one. About a 100" long F-16 profile with some differences. Need to be able to haul it so it will need to be broken down. Also some new ways of making it look more like a full fuse than a profile. Power will be the same as my A-1 Skyraider. About 1250 watts.
Other build is a 1/8th scale A-7. Now before everyone goes crazy trying to decide what fan and motor it needs, it will be a pusher. I want to try a variation of the laminate fuse like I did on the A-26. Make a plug, glass it with 3/4 oz cloth, laminate with 1/16" balsa and then 3/4 oz cloth over it. The A-26 fuse was really light and strong.

Hi John,
I found a thread on a '119 that makes your effort look a bit "Me too"
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1703405

But...please do carry on with your build as you are proposing a different colour so that makes yours just as unique too.

...all in good humour of course John

All in good fun Wilfor

Phil,
That C-119 is probably more scale than mine, it looks very much like the toy.

I really hated to unmask the canopy for the Vegas flights but couldn't stand what it would look like if I didn't. So went through the pain of remasking it today. Also removed the canopy dome. At least the canopy is now ready for painting.

Now it's time to shift into holiday mode. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
