Thanks Willsonman,
Yep, been a proponent of larger flies better for several years.
I meant to tell you guys. On the second flight, Falcon 5 put the radar gun on the 119. First pass as I remember was about 55 mph and the second pass was ~ 63 mph. Right then and there I told Gary to pull her out of the speed contest.

Thanks again John for another masterpiece!

To watch this thread while the 119 was built was amazing but, it's nothing like seeing this aircraft in person. Absolutely amazing!!! for a 29 lb airplane, it flew like it was ever bit of 12 lbs. Floated in like a trainer and landed like a buterflty with sore feet. I can't wait to see it finished. BTW, J hinted around at Ace in the Hole that a EDF version of the B-58 might be in the works.

....and GEAR DOORS for that matter!!! This is why we affectionally refer to him as Gramps. Did Corsair Nut ever get his hug?

Well, after hitting the museum at Tinker AFB, we went our separate ways. John and Hans headed east and Craig and I north east. Last night was spent reminiscing and telling tall tales with the help of Old No. 7 and " Beer " . In the end a good time was had by all.
We're bedded down outside of St. Louis for the night and they should be pulling into Chapel Hill soon. Tomorrow it's the home stretch for us.

Can't wait to do it all over again.

Acesimmer, if your talking about the Hurricane, i finally got them installed early saturday evening. Corsair Nut flew it with the new c/g and it flew as on rails. He flew it scale like, and the lights looked great in the early evening.

Glad you made it past Joplin Woody. You and Craig take it easy the rest of the way, nice safe trip please.
We finally pulled in at 10:00pm tonight. Found out that Woody and Craig are a VERY bad influence on my German friend. Man, the BS was flowing SO deep last night! We didn't leave the motel in Yukon, OK until after 9:00 am this morning. That will tell you what kind of night it was. Stopped at Tinker AFB and took a zillion pics of future builds.
And then over 11 hours of driving...... whew....... glad it is over but I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

skyracer,
EDF B-58? Really? Is that the best you can come up with??? And yes, Nut got a hug when he arrived and when he left. What can I say, we're huggers.

I'm going to bed now!
