v22,
I think you my be right. It is looking like 5s might get the numbers we are after and still keep the rpm down below the 16x8 four bladed props safety limit of 8,000 rpm. I do not have any 5s nor do I have any large 2s to parallel with my 3s. So it's 2 blade props unless I borrow some 5s at Vegas and try the big props.
We'll know more after the first flight and I will sit down to decide which direction to go when I get back. If it flies well and looks as good doing it that I think it will, I'm not against a total change in motors and speed controls to use these props. I believe it would be worth it.
I need to hustle tomorrow and try to have everything ready to load for when Hans gets here. Time is swiftly running out.

Hi J,

I just came home from work. Will pack my bags and stay up in around 12
hours, to drive to Hannover airport.
There are no more changes, but when they say I might not get the DL 3660
(former 3283), I don't think my luggage is coming with me. I give you a call
when I'm sitting in this Pinnacle Airlines DL 3660 plane.

Greetings to Brenda. It's great that we have a new adventure!!

Nut,
You won't see her in paint until next year( if she flies). She's coming rough cosmetically and in primer. Just wasn't enough time.

Hans.
It won't be the first time your luggage didn't make it.

Yada, yada, yada.

Just got done balancing the A-1 with the two bladed 16x10 prop. Just a tad more lead. But it's painted.
Now iI have to rebalance the 119, this crap never ends.
Haven't even started to pack.

i have some 5s packs you can use .....but there not the same make and age ,maybe for a test ...or put the weaker one on the right side and the strong one will counter the torque dont worry i hav'nt even finished my plane yet,and stuck here at work and we finished our chores for the night.

Next weekend, Oct 12-14.

Hope no one expects a great looking airplane from the 119. I have officially run out of time. It has numerous cosmetic fixes to be done, wing saddle needs redone, a whole lot of details yet to be added and I have some ideas on painting it that I want to try. All that work will take a long time and it will be nice to see if we can get it flying before I bury myself in it.
I did rebalance it today with those heavy wheels in the retracted position. They weigh so much that it would affect the CG quite a bit. I had to move those big batts about 3" forward so I know she will be nose heavy on takeoff.
Plus I am going to come up with a solution that utilizes those gorgeous 4 blade props. I love the look and will change motors and escs if I have to. And added bonus is that once the solution is found it will power the A-1 too. But first we have o get them both maidened. I will have my fingers crossed!
