I'm in Brisbane, but I hear WingsNThings is a big shop:
http://www.wingsdirect.com.au/ I've bought from H-Store over the phone - pretty good prices: http://www.hstore.com.au/HSTORE.asp I hope this helps. Peter |

The main branch of WingsNThings (Gladesville) was sold recently. The new owners have got rid of a lot of the more obscure stuff so it's not as interesting to visit anymore...
Kellets (Liverpool) has a bigger range of electric stuff, if thats what you're interested in... Not sure how the prices compare with whats available in singapore. If you want cheap stuff, get your mum to take you to Japan (Aircraft-World) As for flying sites, there's heaps of ic power sites around, and there is a glider/electric club at Wahroonga,(45 mins north of Sydney) and an Electric only club at Galston (I hr north of Sydney) Rich |

Frequencies might be a problem - Australia is all 36 mhz for planes. Someone else might know, but there's a good chance 29Mhz is used by something else (pagers, CB radios etc) - this means you could end up with radio interference.

Couple of questions. What frequency? (I'm not sure but we can also fly on 27 or/and 29 Mhz-anyone who owns a Fighterbird/Aerobird in Aus could help here). Insurance is a problem in Aus, you either have to be insured or be flying under the control of someone who has insurance. Of course plenty of people fly parkflyers without insurance, but if you have an accident you're on your own-unless your travel insurance covers you...Your age MAY(?) help here there is some leeway for juniors U18.. I will check with the club members tomorrow about the rules. My club Galston has a web site with directions at www.messagestick.net/hemfc/ It will cost you about $80 to get to my club by taxi....
