Bismarck had three 3 bladed props of 4700mm(15.42ft.) diameter. The center prop was left handed, that is as viewed from the stern looking forward, the left e
dge of the prop blades were the farthest forward.

I just picked some of this up to test on aluminum, claims it works with pot metal.
I would test on a non-essential piece first.

Guess what the brown truck brought me yesterday!

First impressions:

Huge box! Well packaged.

Great PE set. I really don't see the need for an aftermarket kit.

The Arados are not molded in clear. The also seems to be no clear canopy---but a unique PE canopy frame. Not sure how I feel about this. An optional clear would have been nice.

The hull is quite solid, especially with stiffeners.

I was disappointed not to see metal main guns. The bonus turret kit has them and they are very nice. Looks like an upgrade is in order.

Darn shame Ocean Voyage is no longer around. They sure made some nice IJN kits in this & other scales. You'll see photos of their 1/200 Kongo on the following link alongside another Bismarck.

according to and

when handing a Raboesch 162 brass prop the rotations are as follows:
Left Hand = Anti-clockwise rotation looking from the rear of the boat
Right Hand = Clockwise rotation looking from the rear of the boat

you will see 3 propellers 2 left hand and 1 right hand ....

that means 2 anti-clockwise and 1 clockwise
if this is right we have to buy 2 raboesch 162-08 and rab 162-07
is that right?

Bismarck is excellent choice, I have this ship home too, building it as a Tirpitz. There is a lot of Bismarcks ;-)
Did you think about purchase more etched parts?? I have whole set from EDUARD. It is something.. Problem is, there are not packed new eyes and hands ;-) Everything is so small. ;-) But this is best etched material I ever seen.
I have finished Yamato in 1:200, Tirpitz and Missouri are in process. Quality of this ships is perfect.
