I'm interested, but I heard that InternetHobbies was a poor place to buy something from. A lot of bad reviews. Anyone find somewhere else that is doing preorders (and won't charge me until they actually ship it...)?

Thanks for the link. This looks like it will be a great alternative for me, instead of going the fiberglass hull, scratch built superstructure, etc. route. Sorry for being lazy everyone!

I ordered my Bismarck from Freedom Hobby

I preordered the Bismarck kit from Free Time Hobby when the kit was first announced. They don't charge you until they invoice and ship the order. Brendon has been excellent to work with. I purchased my Tamiya Yamato (new kit) decking and Prontos photoetched super detail set from them.

Check out their website for Bismarck and you can see the additional detail sets they will be offering as well. Super detail photoetched set, wood decks, brass guns and 3d figures are listed.

Best regards

John

Had to pull the trigger on this one. Freetime Hobbies seems to have the best pre-order deal at $249.99. This is gonna be sweet! Be nice to have one this big without scratchbuilding. I'm already thinking drive systems-----probably a 550 with dual-output GB and let the center prop freewheel. Now if they could do high-quality 1/200 Yamato!!!!

I had this on preorder, and got the Bismarck last week. Large box, nice looking when I opened it up. I probably won't be starting on it for awhile, but I'm happy I have one.
