I just did a new upload of my missing video.
The video is from 2009 and after 11 years my Slowly is still ready to fly.
How can someone tell that foamplanes are not durable ? :-)

Jürgen

Nothing MORE FUN than driving around a Slowly with lights on a fully Moonlit evening.

Slow Flight

Buillding my first Slowly

I am ready to start building my first Slowly V2.
I have Few questions :
1. The foam should be 3mm except for the wheels , is this correct? Plans are not clear on that.
2.Is there an official weight with or without electronics? I have read most the 100 pages of posting and weight is all over.

Thanks

It really does not matter IMHO.

I built my 1st one and it was wonderfully slow

then I added LEDS and another pak for them adn it still flys slow
and is fun with or without Sun ...
So the only thing that super light will get you is a Much more delicate and
easy to break model.
3mm depron ( genuine or HK ) is weaker and more brittle than regular MPF.

Jut my philosophy ... Your Mileage may vary !

For the slowest flight , make it as lightweight as possible ( low wing loading ) . Compared to a faster , heavier plane : a slow , lightweight plane will fly better/easier and be less likely to crash . But if it does crash , it hits the ground with less speed , mass , and momentum/inertia .... keeping the damage to a minimum ( if any ) .
