Looks like the 20A ESC I just bought.

But I plug it into my TX/RX made originally for a Madshark, and the throttle goes to full power immediately. Perhaps the TX throttle has to be reversed, but this TX has no such capability.

I have the same, but I have already burnt the motor.

My esc has a switch also in the board, maybe is it for this purpose?

I just received this one (10A, w/o brake)... works as expected.

The PCB-mounted switch is a mystery... doesn't affect direction... doesn't seem to be involved with programming...
More: The switch is SPDT, and seems to switch in or bypass a 1000 ohm resistor, can't tell what it's connected to though...

BTW, the term "bustophedon" seems to be a corrupted spelling of "boustrophedon", which actually refers to a writing methodology where the text goes L to R, then R to L... i.e., "reversing".

Ah, the dangers of machine translation...

I bought 4 similar ESC's from ebay for various projects and all worked as expected however I found that if the battery and motor connections were reversed (i.e. the motor connected to the battery wire and vice-versa) then the motor went to full speed as soon as the battery was connected.
