I'm going to triple check everything this time.
What kind of settings should I put in?

Use the sport default? or 3d default?
Yes, start out with the Sport settings and if you decide later that they are too tame then go to the 3D settings. After that you can try varying the rates and Agility settings to get the type of flight behaviors you want.

After you complete each of your first few flights under the Sport settings you should come back and hook up your G31 and run the Vibration Analysis tool. You'll have log of the entire flight and you can look for any vibration anomolies that might need to be addressed.

Now should I leave dual rates and expo out of my radio and adjust in the Robird program?

And yeah. I'm a little excited to have the vib analysis.

If you're used to setting your Expo in your transmitter you can continue to use that. Otherwise if you want to set the Expo in the G31 Performance tab just remember that the negative values will provide a slower and smoother feel around mid-stick.

My tail is acting funny. Its very slow to my control inputs when the light is blue and VERY slowly counter acts tail movements.
But when the light is red, No tail control
This normal?

Assuming this is actually in the air then no it's not.

Have your read the instructions? Reason I ask is that with many FBL units Red indicates HH mode and Blue indicates rate mode each of which behaves very differently.

New Robird G31 Users Manual released

We've just released a new users manual for the Robird G31 flybarless system. This new manual covers the PC setup process, setting the governor and also provides further details on the settings in the Performance tab.

The manual covers the new 0.98D software version which will be released shortly but the rest is basically the same for the current 0.98C version.

The manual can be downloaded from www.robird.net/g31.

Let us know what you think! This was a collaborative effort and we think you'll find the manual very helpful.

Also, we'll be announcing the website for the U.S. distributor for Robird very soon. Keep watching here for details.

Thanks for the video, ridge_racer. Can't wait to get my 211's.

Did you get a chance to try other servo arms, or did you just use the ones supplied?

these ought to be better than the Solars... they cost twice as much. But are they twice as good?
