They want $86 now, but still the best price I've found so far, thanks.

Gosh, what a shame. I wonder if the $66 was a pricing mistake?

Www. Scaleflying.com has the Blackwidow version for $99 with free USA shipping.I think it is identical( case) as the Robird.Might give them a try when funds allow!

Still haven't definitively decided but really want to play with vib analysis. So it's either a robird, vbar or Sikorsky C76++

I got the ALZRC 3GY V2 from RC711, cheapest shipping was only a few bucks and I got the item in about a week.

Shipping is around $14 from them vs around $4 for RC711 so you won't actually save anything. May as well get the ALZRC version with the nice metal case.

Yeah, I too was lucking enough to get in on the $66 pricing on the Robird. But if shopping today would go for the Black Window for the stateside peace of mind and good support.

Something I started to notice a lot now with this gyro since flying my Tarot 450 w/ HB800 FBL gyro. Anyone notice that the collective is a little slow to respond? Beenflying mentioned it once but at the time I was only flying the 3gy 450 so I just didn't notice until now.

Yes, it feels like the collective pitch has a high latency or is over dampened. After flying 4 helis with the upgraded ZYX yesterday, I felt more connected with the ZYX, like I also do with the Hobbymate and BeastX.

Have you tryed under performance settings inputing positive numbers into the expo setting, I'm not sure they named it correctly as it seems to add latency in negative numbers and speeds everything with positive numbers. Also I'm running .05 speed servos so haven't really noticed a lag!
Let me know if it works for you.

I'm not sure that would have any effect on the collective pitch, just the cyclic pitch and roll.

If someone wasn't flying other gyros, I doubt they would notice it and would just get used to it. Interestingly, this gyro reminds me of how my Align 3GX used to fly.

I hope this can be address with a firmware update. I hope they are still working with a pro heli pilot to continue development...

Steve. I run Solar D650 cyclic servos on both 450 Pros. I don't experience the delay with the hobbymate gyro.
