Back on line at last! The old internet provider left some nasty stuff in the machine that kept cutting me off. Will be on to building the wing shortly.

OOPS! I laid out the left wing wrong on the grid board and built the bugger 3" short!Looks like I need to splice some spars and relearn how to use a tape measure.

Pity it isn't a control-liner Rab - you could just make that the outboard wing!

Seriously though it's nice to know I'm not the only one who makes those kind of blunders. In my case the old saying "Measure twice, cut once" should be more like "Measure twice, decide I'm not sure, measure twice more, prepare to cut, stop, think, measure again, cut"

Worst thing is I measured it 3 times and still goofed up.Left wing is now the span it should be and the right one is started,I marked the grid with line up here dummy at the root and tip ribs so I wouldn't mess up the second wing.

Second wing is framed up,just waiting for stuff for the flap linkage to get here so I can finish off the center sheeting and cap strips.

Flap drive is fitted and aileron linkage and bell cranks are next.I have also fitted the nose gear mount and cut the cowl free from the fuse. The wing center section will be finish sheeted and glassed next right after I pick up some loctite bearing set and bind the arms to the cross shaft for good.I should have some shots of the full set of bones posted in the morning as today will be a short lock in day so I can get something done.
