Sure, will do so.
Actually I expect the boards to arrive in a few days, most likely this week.

**** mMWC BACK IN STOCK NOW!! *****

Since the few prototypes have been sold out quickly, I produced a new series.
Now the board comes in nice cool blue and is only 1mm thin anymore.

The weight of the board only is 2gram and together with header pins, arduino pro mini and MPU6050 it is as light as 8grams.

MultiWii 2.1 allows to configure AUX-inputs (mMWC provides AUX1 and AUX2).
by means of those the mMWC provides:
- pass through mode (no stabilisation)
- Gyro only (acro-mode), i.e. the plane will keep the actual orientation automatically
- ACC + Gyro (auto-level mode), the plane will get rock solid even in wind, optimal for FPV usage

Boards are available now for 9.50 USD (7.5 EUR) incl. worldwide shipping.
each board comes together with
- blue SMD-LED
- suitable SMD resistor (both can be used optionally).
- mini bluetooth-to-FC adapter board (adds optionally bluetooth for convenient parameter configuration, sensor calibration, etc. through your smart phone)

If buying 2 boards, price will be 15 USD (13 EUR) incl. shipping.

just send a PM if you are interested.

best regards from vienna!

Hi christian,

Could you provide a link to the appropriate source code software to use with your shield, and any any help on what needs to be configured to make MultiWii suitable for airplane use would be much appreciated (and might help you sell more boards). I'm still climbing the MultiWii learning curve and having trouble narrowing my searches.

I did find this (http://fotoflygarn.blogspot.com/2012...lane-same.html), but it looks like a private modified copy of MultiWii.

I sent you a PM on the shield.

Best Regards,

Good point george.

Multiwii is that much versatile and great full blown of features that it might be hard to find orientation in the beginning.
I hope i find some time these days to write some sort of tutorial, describing step by step from required hardware & build up, software, configuration, flying and tuning.

Stay tuned

Thanks Christian,

To get started quickly, I would settle for a post here with a simple link to the correct repository and any hints on how you config'd for Airplane mode. Just a point in the right direction.

A full blown tutorial would be great, but I know that would take a good bit of time and effort.

Thanks again,

mMWC HowTo-Manual v1.0

a few people asked for a description about how to build mMWC and setup multiWii environment properly for airplane use with mMWC.

Here we go: I have created a mMWC HowTo Guide.

I hope this answers most of the questions

mMWC Shield for delta wings

I get frequently asked if mMWC can be used for Delta Wings as well.

Sure, you can.

Just a few things in multiWii-Software have to be adjusted:

instead of
#define AIRPLANE
you should enable:

furthermore, since multiwii for some reason uses per default different pins on delta wing we can simply change that by modifying def.h.

In fact swap SERVO_1 with SERVO_5 and SERVO_4 with SERVO_2 in the pro mini section.

This means, the original part:

  #define SERVO_1_PINMODE            pinMode(A0,OUTPUT); // TILT_PITCH - WING left
  #define SERVO_1_PIN_HIGH           PORTC |= 1<<0;
  #define SERVO_1_PIN_LOW            PORTC &= ~(1<<0);
  #define SERVO_2_PINMODE            pinMode(A1,OUTPUT); // TILT_ROLL  - WING right
  #define SERVO_2_PIN_HIGH           PORTC |= 1<<1;
  #define SERVO_2_PIN_LOW            PORTC &= ~(1<<1);
  #define SERVO_3_PINMODE            pinMode(A2,OUTPUT); // CAM TRIG  - alt TILT_PITCH
  #define SERVO_3_PIN_HIGH           PORTC |= 1<<2;
  #define SERVO_3_PIN_LOW            PORTC &= ~(1<<2);
  #if !defined(MONGOOSE1_0)
    #define SERVO_4_PINMODE            pinMode(12,OUTPUT); // new       - alt TILT_ROLL
    #define SERVO_4_PIN_HIGH           PORTB |= 1<<4;
    #define SERVO_4_PIN_LOW            PORTB &= ~(1<<4);
  #define SERVO_5_PINMODE            pinMode(11,OUTPUT); // BI LEFT
  #define SERVO_5_PIN_HIGH           PORTB |= 1<<3;
  #define SERVO_5_PIN_LOW            PORTB &= ~(1<<3);
has to be changed to:

  #define SERVO_5_PINMODE            pinMode(A0,OUTPUT); // TILT_PITCH - WING left
  #define SERVO_5_PIN_HIGH           PORTC |= 1<<0;
  #define SERVO_5_PIN_LOW            PORTC &= ~(1<<0);
  #define SERVO_4_PINMODE            pinMode(A1,OUTPUT); // TILT_ROLL  - WING right
  #define SERVO_4_PIN_HIGH           PORTC |= 1<<1;
  #define SERVO_4_PIN_LOW            PORTC &= ~(1<<1);
  #define SERVO_3_PINMODE            pinMode(A2,OUTPUT); // CAM TRIG  - alt TILT_PITCH
  #define SERVO_3_PIN_HIGH           PORTC |= 1<<2;
  #define SERVO_3_PIN_LOW            PORTC &= ~(1<<2);
  #if !defined(MONGOOSE1_0)
    #define SERVO_2_PINMODE            pinMode(12,OUTPUT); // new       - alt TILT_ROLL
    #define SERVO_2_PIN_HIGH           PORTB |= 1<<4;
    #define SERVO_2_PIN_LOW            PORTB &= ~(1<<4);
  #define SERVO_1_PINMODE            pinMode(11,OUTPUT); // BI LEFT
  #define SERVO_1_PIN_HIGH           PORTB |= 1<<3;
  #define SERVO_1_PIN_LOW            PORTB &= ~(1<<3);
compile, upload and voila!
mMWC will handle your wing's servos connected same way like airplane aileron-servos to D11/D12, but of course with delta mixing done by multiwii.

best regards from vienna,

cool, thanks for the info.
Hope you don't have to wait too long for the remaining parts and looking forward for additional report how things are going with mMWC.

Which kind of plane do you intend actually to put your mMWC into?

published new version 1.1 of mMWC howto guide

I have updated and published a new version of the HowTo manual (V1.1) describing
- fine tuning and optimization,
- how to get a bluetooth serial adapter working together with mMWC,
- how to use mMWC for delta wings.

hope this makes things easier for every mMWC user

I think I will start with a disposable foamy and move to a powered glider.
