Having a hell of a time with the paint on this thing. Nothing is sticking and it peels up if you look at it sideways.

I know many use plasti dip and maybe I should have. I have painted EPP successfully before but the difference was a scrub with dish soap and 400 grit. My fun jet still has the paint on it three years later. Maybe I should start over?

You should be able to easily get more than 25 min.

Cheers,
I hope so. I am regulating my video system with an any to any voltage regulator so I can push my flights a bit without worry. Most people say you can run 12v systems down to below 10v and still have a picture, but I want ideal voltage where possible.

I find there is reduced flight performance and duration at my altitude. I can help compensate by propping up but I will never get the flight times you do.

At the meets I have attended in the past it was really fun to get several planes up at once and fly formation, race, etc... Launch, climb out and loitering around aloft while the others get airborne eats away at your flight time quick. My Sky Surfer got at best 18 mins before having to land with 20% capacity left in the pack. That was just too short. My Slow Stick was even less at about 14 mins of mixed flying.

Seems like it should work. Have you removed the release wax? How about krylon fusion?

Another hint for those installing UHF antennas. If you cannot source GoldenRod tubes like Dragon Link recommends you can use the straw from a kid's juice box.

These things are molded you know and the depending on what the manufacturer has done, you might have to rinse/clean it of.

Just thought I would give the Australian FPV crew a heads up that the Finwing FPV Penguin can now be purchased here in Australia..just ordered mine this morning, looking forward to getting this in the air.

Just got a GoPro Hero 3 for Christmas. I think I want to get one of these for video and maybe make the step to FPV. Waiting to see my Dad's first to see the size of it.

Looks like I have a little reading to do before I decide.

I forgot to mention that I'm also climbing at around 15 amps and once I get to desired altitude I'm back down to 8-10 amps for cruising. So flying styles have a definant effect on battery endurance.

My bird weighs in at 2.1kg fully loaded. What does yours weigh?

Cheers,
