What is on your building table?

With winter coming and the shorter hours of daylight I was just wondering what some of you had lined up to build? What are some of the fun and interesting projects you have been putting off that you will be building?

Next up for me is what was on my kitchen table when I arrived home on Monday. Ah! the smell of balsa . I opened the package to find a nicley lazer cut bunch of sheets of balsa. A Dave Blum Cessna 182. I will be building it, plus scratch building one at the same time for a fellow ezoner (and new MM 180 owner). The kit is one of the only remaining beta kits of this beauty produced by Dave Blum. I have a Mountain Models Cessna 180 and just had to have a dblum 182. They just seem to go together. In the next few days I will be starting a build thread on it. Dave has been busy moving and last he told me he is working on getting the plane kitted. Which I am sure will make all those 180 fliers out there happy. For those who have not seen it, the folliwing pics are of Dave's and Geralds 182's.

Again be sure and post some of what you will be working on in the coming weeks/ months.

Bare bones 182 of Daves:

Well, I just recently found out (my daughter let it slip ) that I will be getting a Stevens Aeromodel G-480 Groove for Xmas. I should have my Miniflash finished by Thanksgiving, so just in time for the new project.

Nice covering jobs, are you using Solite?

Wish I could say they were mine but no I am only an observer of beauty on those two planes. I am not positive on what they covered in. I will have t do some checking and find out.

Sounds like you have a couple fun builds lined up.

I have a big darn mess at the moment which needs to be cleared so I can get back to building.

1. Darth Smaul Beta (if it's still going on)
2. Old School RC Spacewalker
3. Zipper 010 (to replace the one a hangar wall ate at an indoor fly-in)

Winter Building Board,....

Currently, I still have my Sig Rascal to finish modifying and covering. Attached is a current progress photo of that one. Next on the building board is the Molt Models Hellcat. I was quick to get a kit while I could, so I hope to get that built and finished.

I've got a Meridian coming, I want to do a really cool covering. (My wife will help, I hope)
Need to finish a Darth Smaul, but the wings are not cooperating at the moment.
I have an Electro Streak ARF that I am just waiting to get a big honkin' BL motor for.
Got a VIP on the way, but there's not much to build there.
another Wind Buster 30 inch V-tail that I may finish tonight.

A few bits and pieces that I may make into a Franken Plane.

For this winter Im starting my first REAL scratch build... I've put spare parts together and made them fly in formation, but this is new

Its a Grumman F3F, designed to fly around a GWS EPS gearbox, or pjs/nippy brushless, and will also accomodate the speed 400 GWS DD stick mount...

Check out the "Grumman F3F?" thread for more info... hopefully I'll have a flying model for the spring
