Hobbyking KK2 board setup for gain and auto level with flight video


took me awhile to get the board super smooth but here is the results. also remember to mount the board centered as possable. I am not very techey so everything is basic.

You mention that you're not quite sure how I works. In a PI loop:
- P is the correction rate for the current deviation from the setpoint
- I is the correction for slow drift over time

You should increase P until you get oscillations and then back it off a bit. You should reduce I until drift becomes unacceptable, and then put it back up a little. Clearly whatever you're doing is working for you, but for others wondering exactly what the heck they are messing with when changing these values, this is what you're doing.

Are you building an army of these things? Should we all be worried?

thanks for the info. my hopes for my family of tri's is to program them to fly around and clean up my messy garage and yard.

Get them all tuned the same, put all receivers in bind mode and bind them all to the same model memory in your transmitter. Then, fly all three in unison.

will spektrum recevers do that? if so i will give it a try, i only have 2 of the new boards but that would still be worth a shot.

uh...please post a video of it if you try. Sounds scary.

Thanks for the video, goes over quite a bit. I got a KK2 coming in the mail, still working on getting my KK tuned correctly.

I don't see why they wouldn't do it. It's a one way connection with Spektrum. The receivers are just picking up the ID when you turn on the transmitter in bind mode.

If you do this, you must post a video, no matter how disastrous the results. Auto level mode should make things a little better though, and should prevent them from getting too out of sync.

So I got mine in last Friday and placed it on my tri and the motor layout is reading all motors CW? Is anyone else seeing this?

dont worry about it just use the rotation u have in the past all will be fine.

Answering my own question..

RTFM read the frieken manual

have to go into Mode Settings menu an enable the switch function for the AUX channel...

P controls how hard it tries to return to position from existing change, I is for drift over time, and D is resistance to predicted change (e.g. Inertia)
