It's my first plane and I've been having fun. But, I did crack the gearbox/motor mount and drove the shaft into the bearing, damaging the bearing. It doesn't appear that the gearbox/motor mount is available for purchase. I'm going to check some bearing supply houses and try and find a replacement bearing.
I have an extra motorgearbox if you want it.
Free. Just pay for postage.
PM me if you want it!

Never said it was my first plane, read up a little more before assuming please. This will be my 5th plane. I think you got me mixed up with the post above mine.

Well then please forgive me and Olwarbird for such arrogance!
The Gamma was my first "Big Plane" after my Micro Albatross and UM P-51.
The FlyZone Albatross was easy, the PZ UM P-51 not so easy for a super newbie as myself at the time.
The T-28 is a great airframe no matter what size you get.
Good Luck with it!

I only have the (1) stock battery. I'd like to have a couple batteries on hand.

I need a 2S, 7.4v, of about the same dimensions, and about 1000 mAh, correct? Nothing seems to match exactly the stock battery. I was hoping for examples that are working for other people.

It's my understanding that Hobby Town is the only source for Gamma parts.

I replaced the gearbox shaft and gear, no problem. However, part # AZS1211 370 Gearbox w/Shaft: Gamma 370 is not listed on the Hobby Town online shopping website. If it's not listed there, I don't believe it's available. Please correct me if this is incorrect.

Thanks.

No problem.
However, since I'm not at home right now, I not 100% sure that I have a new gear box, just the old one that came with the plane with the motor still attached. I know for certain that I have a new gear/shaft assembly.
You can have both. I don't have the ESC for the brushed motor. I gave that to Dukeboy.
I'll know more when I get home tonight.

Try www.HobbyPartz.com for cheap batteries.
I used SkyLipo 1300 mah 2s batts, about 7 bucks + shipping.
12 min + flying time.

Chino,
A stock used gearbox/motor mount would be just fine. I sent you (2) PMs, but I'm not sure they're going through. I have nothing in my Sent folder.

Cheers.

I use the batteries that power my Hobbyzone Firebird Stratos. They are 2s 1300 mah E-Flight batteries. More expensive than the Hobbypartz ones, but very reliable and I get 12-15 minutes of flight time from them at 1/2 throttle in my Gamma. You do have to change out the plugs though. The Tamiya type ESC plug that comes stock on the Gamma should be replaced anyway. Mine has been replaced with the EC2 connectors so they will accommodate the E-Flight batteries.

The part is out of stock at the warehouse so when that happens it does not show on the website. If you put in your zip code to select a location store you will find if it is in stock at your nearest HobbyTown. That being said the parts are coming tomorrow.
