FOD dosen't really happen, because I have no throttle on landing. There is a lot of dew where I fly as well, but It only gets on the outside of the plane, not in the ducting.

And it would force e-flite to make a twin brushless as3x recier/esc, which would also be awesome.

Well have you or any of your mates flown an RC Vampire? I have on the
simulator, but they seem to be bouncy on landing.

Thanks Coconut & Gary!
Dad is doing well for an 87 year old.
--------------------------------------------------

Pulled another day off.
Weather was perfect!
Grabbed the trio and flew for hours.

3S Beast 3D is always my 'go to' plane.
Personal favorite!

Removed the gear on my MiG and flew many Hyp (2S) 320 flights...
vs
My 3S powered Sbach. (Hyp (3S) 180s)

The MiG is quick.
My Sbach is faster.

Love those high speed, on the deck, MiG runs!
She is clean and solid as a rock with AS3X & gear removed.
Hand launches are cake.
She may never see her gear again.

As luck would have it, my Sbach brick loves 3S power.
Her speed and vertical, with all that power behind a 5043, are spectacular!

Awesome RC day!

Ditto, although I can honestly say that the back half of my Mig looks as good as Roger's! The front half? Well, it's been soaked in hot water so many times I can't believe it still inflates. After my not-so-much Knife Edge attempt a couple weekends ago, I was flying monday a.m. and went inverted when it was directly overhead, which I knew better than to do. Things went sideways and, well, I again lived up to my screen name. Full throttle, full up elevator, full speed drill bit into the asphalt parking lot.

And amazingly, just another crinkle in the nose and a loosened port wing. Hot water, a little foam safe CA, and she's back up in the air again. I think there's a new airframe in her future though.

What does the hot water do?

The foam has a memory and tends toward its original shape when heated. It's not perfect, but it gets you close.

it works great, ive done it twice now. It's hard to get every crease out and it well never look the same as nib.

MIG 15 Hot water Crash Fix (4 min 30 sec)

Note, if you bring the water to a boil let it set for 10 mins as it well be to hot
Also soaking a rag or paper towel then wrap the part to be reformed works to.

Is anybody else experiencing tail wag at high speed?

I've removed the AS3X board and I still have it. Any recommendations to source the cause?

I always thought something other that AS3X gains were causing it. I know a lot of us have it. My best guess is it is an aerodynamic thing. Maybe spanwise flow or asymmetric drag.
