The Slicko's

Ordered the new power combo and some other things. Got all the slickos ready to fly now and gear for some other planes. Really liking the foam tac.. so far it seems to set up much faster than welders and still has plenty of time for adjustment when gluing epp. Looking forward to some indoor flying soon.

SFG's do a few things usually, improve knife edge, improve tracking, improve rudder authority. They work well so far,ive flown larger balsa planes years ago and the same holds true with various types of planes. Nightfox7 made some sfg's earlier in the thread as well. Info Here Maybe i'll get some video with them when i fly later today.

I think you answered this awhile back but I can't remember. What are the sfg's made of?

New formula foam tac at rcpb HERE,i ordered a bottle on my last order. Haven't worked with it to much yet but so far i really like it. Im gonna stick with the foam tac now since it sets up faster and also will work with other foam types without eating the foam.

You can simply use a thin rubber band, just loop and twist, loop and twist until it's secure. I've done this in emergencies and it works fine. The only draw back is excessive heat will tend to shorten the life of the rubber band.
So until you can get a prop band or O ring a simple rubberband will do the trick.

Almost done

Almost done with my Slicko. This picture was just after getting some color on her. Got my wife to make up some stencils for the checks on her Silhouette Cameo cutter (pretty cool crafting toy and not bad for adding RC graphics) I did the basic rattle can paint job, my kit was a bare one. Bottom is 1/2 checkered pattern over the entire bottom. Would have done full checkers but was tired of taping it off and didn't have the stencil made then. I will post more pictures soon and some video of the maiden later this week depending on the weather.
