It actually wouldn't be a bad idea.. you could put a little sharpie mark or something on the scraps that you put in to make sure no one gets confused.

And IflyRCs I am using the wood kit, no carbon except the LG and pushrods.

khen, you have colors coming today or soon? Or even white...
Cart's loaded but yellow is not too pleasing.
(uh oh cart has self emptied - not good khen)

ARE you guys preferring 8" over 9" on 2s outdoors?
Really surprised at that. Someone posted 9 felt more floaty?
khen only has 9s in stock too.

So I need to pick a battery size now and build around that size for CG so only 1 cutout is needed?

Thanks for the advice.

I'm using a 9x4.7 prop on a 460mah 2s battery.

I'll have a vid up in a bit for you.

IFlyRCs,prop selection depends on the outrunner used and the kv rating. Generally on 2s 1500kv outrunners in the 25-26g like the 2205 run well on 9x5-9x4.7 props. The power hd 1900kv outrunner runs well on both 2s and 3s with 8x4dd props. On 2s in the slicko the 9'' props will work a bit better do to its larger overall size, its a bit larger than more common 32'' size epp foamies so it also has a slightly higher AUW. For lipos a 2s 450-460mah pack provides reasonable flight time at a moderate weight, about 6 minutes plus flying time depending on throttle usage. Smaller packs work well for lighter set ups and more floaty feel but sacrifice some flight time.

Here you go IflyRCs Quick and dirty, but shows something. The plane was unharmed after the tree encounter at the end. It was very breezy.

Thanks, and yeah we get a few.
To help your jealousy, the Chattahoochee is about ~150 yards through the woods back there.

So both of you are running 2s Nano Tech 460's?
Guess I need to hunt some up...

Clarify for me.
I can't easily run other sizes once set up for these?
I assume it makes the slot sloppy and things don't stay in place as well.

What if I want to run 3s some time?

Hoarding balsa is a sickness
The closer the battery is to the CG, the more flexability you have in choosing batterys. If you are planning on switching between 2 and 3 cell, cut the slot for the thicker / larger battery, and bond a shim of depron or other soft material to the smaller batterys to take up the size of the hole. If you balance with a 2 cell battery just behind the aileron servo, and then install a heavier battery, you will be nose heavy. That can be corrected with a penny or nickle taped to the bottom rear of the rudder..or something like that. A penny is 3.25 grams, a nickle is about 5 grams, but you have the distance from the CG called the "moment-arm" that allows you to do that

Medic45, here are a couple of shots of the ESC and reciever on my son's plane..keep them foward if needed. I cut a slit in the foam and passed the motor wires through, now with the wires soldered to the ESC, just cut the foam and then reglue together.

Yep, down to yellow right now. I will have some whites ready to ship tomorrow. Other colors might be 2-3 days do to paint times.

If you create an account on the site it will save your cart contents and reload them when you login.

I am down to just 9" in the Dura-Thrust props, but I have some 8" gemfan props which work good as well. Dura-Thrust are on their way hopefully soon.

Should I remount my electronics?

I have both rx (orange, no case) and esc on the same side. Should I remount one on each side. I mount my battery thru the center of fuse.

@Khen, what about some other colors? I'd like a purple one.
