40874 - yours looks the best despite being the highest time bird. Very scale looking - except for the landing gear.

Mike's new lense is awesome,

and to think that I almost tossed it in the garbage after it crashed the last time! Thankfully that didn't happen. That was a fun afternoon!

My first post on RC Groups! Right here!
B-17F "My Gal Nikki" will be pulled out of the hangar and ready for missions with the Squadron next month. The B-24D will be getting some heavy maintanance too about that time.
I'll have to get a new picture showing the dummy engines. Both are glow powered.

I think I'm going to try to put that MrRcSound Module in my B-17 as well as my P-51 very soon. The new version looks pretty great!

Hey Corey,

great to have you join us over here on the "dark side"! :-) That's a fantastic picture that Mike took with you and your B-17 in scale! We need to get one like that for each squadron pilot with his B-17....that would be cool!

Pictures from our MASSIVE War-bird Gathering....

The Apollo Field War-bird Squadron was once again out in force! On Saturday, March 16th, we held one of our biggest gatherings to date! A total of well over 40 airplanes including 9x B-17's, 7x B-25's, and 10x P-51 Mustangs all sharing the ramp together!

Here are some of the photos taken from today:

More Warbirds!!!

Here are the rest of the pictures that Mike took from Saturday. It was a great day, great turnout, and another great gathering of the Apollo Field Warbirds!

Mike shot lots of "film" and was able to capture everybody and their planes.

Just click on a picture to view the filmstrip...

Enjoy!

Looks like a blast guys. Sorry I was away!

For those interested, the B-29 "Fifi" and several other warbirds will be at Burbank this coming weekend.

Great to part of the group

I am Hawkeye, the newest member of the group. It was a hoot to be there Saturday for the huge turnout and great camaraderie. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Fly safe.
