RC + Full Scale
Thank's so much Jim for letting me fly in the squadron. Hope I can make it on Monday. Those are all great pictures. Some of them look like real 1/1 scale B-17's! Really great flying everyone. That was the best day of flying I believe I've ever had. See ya soon!

Best regards,

-Sam

Today, I had the privilege of flying my J-Power P-38, in formation with CO Jim during his 700th flight of his Hobby King B-17. A true honor for me!

Congratulations Jim! Looking forward to seeing you achieve the 1000th flight milestone.

All the best,
Tony

Pictures from our recent Bombing run! :)

Looks like the World famous Apollo Field B-17 squadron just finished a bombing run! Take a look at the aftermath!

(Disclaimer: Actually, these are pictures of yesterdays fire that took place at the field and are not the result of any B-17 Bomb runs!)

But I think it would look cool if Mike could photoshop in a few Hobbyking B-17's overhead anyway!!!!!

Brent,

Awesome job on your award designs!

Flying ten B-17's in formation without incident is a tribute to the skill of the Squadron pilots. I'm proud to be a part of this squadron. Each formation flight is a wonderful tribute to our veterans!

Best Regards,
Tony

Apollo Squadron B-17 Bombing Run pictures....

Mike sent me the first two, and Brent updated the first and came up with the 3rd shot.... (look carefully at the 3rd picture.... it looks like both the pilot and co-pilot are having fun...even if they aren't paying attention to where they are heading!!) Can you believe that Corey let those two clowns pilot his beautiful B-17??

Another great day at Apollo Field for the B-17 Squadron...

Lots of new pictures from today. We had 7 B-17's show up today!!

Thanks to Brent, Joe, Don, Mike, Ric, Sam, for bringing your B-17's. We also had a nice contingent of other war-birds. In fact, complementing the B-17's were two spitfires, three mustangs, and no less than 4-B-25's!! What a good looking set of war-birds ramp-side:
