Can anyone please clear this up for me?
AFAIK nobody has cracked how to control the "5th" channel with a 9X. I think the latest speculations are that it's not done with a "regular" channel at all and is some funny "one off", but I haven't seen that this has been confirmed or denied either.

I'm waiting too.

I found a Chinese thread that explains the steps to modify the transmitter to accepts 4 x AA batteries instead of 6. Check out the detailed photos.

Hi Y'all....

Jumping into the quad fray.
I ordered a V929 and when I told a flying buddy he also ordered one.
I'll let you know how a couple of old parkflyers make out with our first quads.

Fixed my issue with my 929 wobble.
Found a crack on one of spines the blade/motor holders. Put in a new one. Took out a lot of the wobble but still did it occasionally.
I did order the GSW props - have not received them yet but was thinking "what the heck" lets put on a new set of OEM props. I only had maybe 15 flights on the old ones but they did have some scuffs from the repeated wobble crashes.
That did it, if flies great!. Did get a wobble after a couple of flips and was able to recover by reducing throttle slightly and it straightened out. Never was able to do that before.
Ran three batts with no problems. Will try again today if weather holds. Yea it is not a big deal but I was almost ready to put this on the shelf.

Haven't tried them. But then, all the other 120SR batteries I have, that I use for the V949, are rated for 25C and above. This one is rated at 12C (@500mAh). I wonder if it will have enough punch. Good price though if it works.

I had tried the G-Force 160 mAh for the 9958, they are fairly good when new (almost but not quite as punchy as the Turnigy, comparable to the nano-tech 160's), but faded sooner than either the nano's or turnigy's.

I'd guess we can probably expect similar performance from these (relative to Nano-tech 600's).

I've got 8 of them, they work fine. They're slightly thinner than the stock battery so I wrapped them with strapping tape so they would fit snuggly. Getting 8-10 min flight times

Does anyone know of a larger Quad than the V929 Beetle but just as stable at a reasonable price?
