WTB Air Retracts- 5/8 bore x 1-5/8 stroke actuator

Looking for a 5/8 by 1-5/8 actuator. If you have any retracts, can you please check the cylinder size/stroke for me? I'm trying to get a Byron Staggerwing flying, and leaking retracts all that's holding it back. PM me.
Even if you have one that's close it might work.

Leaks

Were is the leak coming from? I have a few staggerwings and usually it leaks from the air fitting at the end of the cylinder! Squirt it with windex to be sure, and see were the bubbles are coming from. If it is the fitting they can be twisted out with a pair of pliers. put a little thick CA around the fitting, and reinsert with a slight twisting motion then sap with kicker.

Yeah, coming from the end of the cylinder on the rod side.
What fitting are you talking about? The endcap is crimped on on both ends.

Leak

Were the air line attaches! Look carefully, because this leak may look like it comes from the shaft O ring.

Nope, definitely the shaft O-ring. Is there a fix for that?

Before you throw in the towel. Try either baby oil or vegtable oil in the cyl. Draw it into your hand pump then squirt in the cyl, a little at both ends and work the cyl.

I let it sit overnight with some oil in it after working it in...still a no go
Anything else?

Depends on the O-ring material. A dab of Brake Fluid may swell it back up and seal. Or a dab of Transmission repair fluid or PS repair fluid. That stuff is designed to swell seals.

Worth a shot

I think the internal O-ring is dead....HOWEVER!!! I got it to seal using an o-ring pushed on the outside. Or at least seal enough it holds pressure for more than 10 seconds It has threads on the front and a small recess that an O-ring fits into, so I'm working on finding a nut that will thread on and then attach a washer onto it to compress the O-ring in place. It should work...tiny ray of hope
