There's a lot of wind and background noise to it's going to be hard to Doppler...Even people talking close to the mic can make pulling out the audio for Doppler difficult...However, @ 1:21 into the vid I did get an RC Speedo clocking of 103.4MPH...It's been my experience that the RC Speedo app shows about a couple of MPH faster than Doppler...Still, 103MPH ain't too shabby for as small as these models are and now at least you now have an idea of what it was doing...Get more runs without the windy background noise...If you can't get a vid without wind noise, fashion a wind muffle from some open cell soft foam...This will keep the wind from whipping across the face of the mic...

My daughter is on Netflix...and when she's done with her movie I will get it dopplered..
The program is right here in this forum..just need both my comps to do it..play it on the laptop and listen(Doppler) through the tablet....
I'll check back in 2 hours or so..

Frank du skal have et godt tilløb og så skal du helst fortsætte ligeud i 2 sekunder efter flyet har passeret kameraet. Så skal de også vide hvad temperatur der er under flyvningen.

Mvh. Flemming

I am just trying to tell him how to make a god doppler run.

I didn't Doppler it but used the RC Speedo phone app so if any of you want to confirm what I got with Doppler I welcome it as I'm wanting to see/confirm how accurate RC Speedo is...

Frank---I don't know how to read Danish but it looks like our European friend was reminding us that we need to know the temperature...My RC Speedo app was used when my local temp was 94* which I'm sure your temp was lower...

I've gotta say though that Turbonut posted while I was getting the speed and his guess of 105MPH being as close to what I got is impressive!!!.....

It's difficult to get clean doppler on that. You'll need to fly level across the camera without climbing or turning after the pass for a couple seconds. Also, don't cut the throttle during the pass. Don't forget to do up wind and down wind passes so you get the true speed. Good luck!

Frank,
I use the same program s Kevin uses...RCSpeedo..
It has a very hard time reading through the wind...
next time you video use the method the Tick suggested...Level passes without touching the throttle...
and we will be able to get a clean reading....
take care...............chris

Thanks again...

I can se this video is no good, after reading your replays I realized other factors as well. For most of this flight I fly with about 50-60% throttle, only one pass at full power....and the fact the the model is flying at a angle at about 30 degrees toward me, may also affect the result. I guess I have to make another video. I would estimate it to go as fast as 200 Km/h thats 125 mph with full power, but this is only a estimation.

The model is a joined design project that I started for about a year ago here in RC groups, for more info look here: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1428925

Temp. was around 65-70 Fahrenheit

Can the two passes here be dopplered?

Thanks
