The advantages of the 2560 over a crius se 328 board are

- has enough hardware pwm channels, no soft emulation needed
- has enough ICP pins to read in the RC signal by hardware (no interrupt jitter)
- has enough usart pins to read a gps directly, no i2c-gps adapter needed

While remaining compatible to the arduino / multiwii stuff.
Great board. Thanks.

Can anyone explain me what all the connectors are for?
Maybe with editing the picture and the directly pointing on the port with the explanation

Also does anyone have a link to further information about that board and how one programm it?

How should i know. I guess i can see an ftdi chip there on the board, so i presume only usb cable, but i am not sure at all.

Ok so do you think 2hz is to slow?

A thing i dont understand is that the ublox chip costs about 95€ here in germany if you buy it seperatly. Is there something i did not understood?

why do you think the price is too high? As far as i understood it ist not a usual gps reciever. it also has the ability to fly waypoints. or is this nothing special?

Slow 2Hz or no - depends on tasks.
There are many different ublox chipsets, and this one is rather old.

And price.. This board is just ublox with neccessary elements (like battery, led, caps VR and so on)+antenna+xbee-like header. There is nothing else!

Meanwhile, they have uart-i2c converter based on atmega328 with EOSBandi firmware for 7$ and 5Hz gps for 25$. It does the same (and even more, as "i2c gps nav" still developing) as this overpriced board, but not in that fancy MK-like style

Mine arrived yesterday. I hooked it up to the pc, loaded multiwii 2.0, and bench tested it. So far all looks fine. I haven't flown with it yet.

it s the same thing that every other multiwii board but with a decent price and better sensors...

for me it s the best multiwii board on the market!

do you have to use GPS over i2c to make use of GPS navigation and waypoints ? or can i connect a GPS module directly to a crius mwc's UART port ?
