I mean using arduino as a ppm generator for using different controller peripherals such as a nunchuck with its buttons, acc & mini joystick.. And using / interfacing a gameport joystick.

I just tested with a 12-20 volt supply at Vin to be completely sure. No problems at all. They will share the same 5-volt rail (usb and regulator), but you should not get any "high voltages" into your pc etc. Not perfect, but shouldn't cause problems. The LED you see turn on at your transmitter is caused by a low voltage (~1.6 volt) that can be seen at the other side of the regulator while powered with USB.

As always, it's on your own risk - but you should be fine

I have to defend my bachelor thesis in 9 hours, so I'll try to get some sleep.

I got the best grade possible, so can't really complain .

The calibration for the magnetometer was done yesterday and should be ready. The gain is calibrated automatically with the self-test function, but the offset have to be set manually.

Got nearly 2 houers flying with DFHT to day, one of them was a 1 houer long thermal flight, absoluteley no drift at all
It just works with no fuss, i have problems with pogramming new centerposition, the tracker just do`nt react on changes, so i was just flying it the way it was out of the box.
I am shure it is just a minor problem soon fixed.

First time flying in 5 years with HT with no need for anny inflight reset neded.

So wel done Dennis.

You can use a USB cable with cut power line.

or if using an Ardunio Pro Mini:
a FTDI adpater without +5V connected.

All the PPM-output is already done, so you can basically just add the sensors you want

I don't plan to write support for wii-controllers etc. but it should be pretty easy to add other devices.

If you just want a device to be used with wii controller I would suggest the one from Flytron:

Sounds very nice - I'm glad to hear it's a success so far.
I'll help you setup the tracker one of the next couple of days, should be pretty straight forward

The calibration of the magnetometer should improve the pan a bit for perfect match between gyro and magnetometer readings.

You mentioned a few extra options to be able to adjust the servo-travel in all directions etc. Consider it done

Quite a lot of extra code have been added to allow everything to be saved in EEPROM and configured by GUI - but it seems to work just fine
I'll consider adding a single button for easy setup "in the field" and reset neutral position.

I will probably be without Internet connection for nearly a week the company vent bankrupt and the new Internet supplier sent me a defect router so when they close the net i use now to morrow night i am dead until the new router arrive by post next week.

I need to make power to my goggles and was wondering, can DFHT run on 6V i can use a turnigy UBEC on 6V to my goggles so can it feed DFHT to ???

By the way i coated DFHT in flex and it is running quite hot, could smell it when flying.

Problem solved per phone - and the GUI have been "connected" as well.
The problem was the Arduino driver that wasn't installed properly

6 volt regulated supply-voltage should be fine.
