Stacy, I'm not sure what everyone else is going to say, but... Upgrade to the latest firmware, it works great. I'm not getting ANY white flashes with it. I got some on the older firmware, but they really didn't affect anything... it flew fine with them, and they just came up with aggressive maneuvering, and sometimes a few before takeoff. I really don't think they are a big deal.

You could use a 4S lipo if the KV was like 960Kv using your 11x4.7 props/ But with the S800 coming with 15" props and KV of 320KV your RPM would be so low on 4S lipo I don't think it would fly very well.

The Preorder DJI case is perfect as carry on so based on what Heli001 stated, it appears that they Pelican 1600 is as well.

Pelican Carry-on Sizes

I believe the largest carry-on from Pelican is the 1510 & 1520 (I have actually carried this on).

Here is a link to the size chart: http://www.pelican.com/airline_allowance_medium.php

i found a company here in the uk who will custom cut foam - looks like its high desnsity, they readily state that one off isnt a economically viable, but maybe if 30 or 50 people could agree on which peli they were using and on a foam cut layout… a group buy could be the answer?

lot of variables to iron out though.

Shadowkeeper and Ed,

I should have qualified my ststement to say: the INTERIOR dimensions are the same. The foam from the S800 package fits in the Pelican 1600 case. The 1600 and 1660 can go as checked baggage.

Sorry for any confusion and thanks for listing the size chart Shadow........!

Thanks Bill, I am fully updated. The bad atti mode does not appear to effect anything. Just a little nerve wracking knowing something is not quite right. I'll continue to fly cautiously until I get more comfortable with it.

Does anyone have a red "O" arm, motor and esc (stock DJI) that they would be willing to trade for either an "X" or "O" green fully setup arm? I seem to have too many of the wrong ones.

The shrinking tube is from a local dealer...

I can say you 22 is not enough but i try it...
5 to 10mm on the s800 arm will not be totaly shrinked because its 20mm there...

But i will try it on a test arm mybe it works.. the 3 to 1 shrinking tubes ar just to expensive....

You are quite right, I also dont think it would fly very well, but merely suggested that in theory it could be a possibility without a gimbal? I like a challenge... Anyhow it is all just an idea and not a good one as it defeats the purpose of the S800 and its main advantages, so probably best to end the conversation here as I am growing tired of Icemans boyish remarks..
