There is a huge difference, the videos showing and FOD is unmistakeable.

I think Chilipaste has the best example. On a FOD the SW 800 can be as low as 5-6' and literally flip 2-3 times before gravity can take over.

Since the multi-rotors cannot auto rotate or float to the ground, they do tend to flip upside down in some major failure. This is very different.

There are a few people saying that they had the FOD, when it really was not the main issue we are working right now.

If you have the latest firmware, you will not have an FOD due to motor, esc, or prop failure.

Haha, The WKM goes into care free control during this fail safe so even if you are not proficient pirouetting and landing at the same time, all you do is normal flight controls to land safely.

Totally ignore the spinning !

I hope you fix it, this kind of communication should've been present a month or two ago. I like the idea behind this thing. A fairly inexpensive, compact and easy to use platform with redundancy with the right software and hardware. But the numerous FODs really gnaw at your reputation, you can make this right. I hope you do because I like DJI products and I could see myself having a WKM in the near future.

I don't think its illegal most anywhere. It's just not smart to do especially in the US where you'd be sued to death if the copter fell on some one.

I've been milking my F550 along and am planning on upgrading the parts over to a new Y6, all because I've been waiting for the S800 to have some major upgrade that fixes all of these major issues. FOD's, flexing arms, vibrating props, etc. I also love the idea of the S800, fairly inexpensive for a pro setup, transportable, ready to fly and parts are easy to get. But until you really work these issues out, I'll just stand on the sideline waiting (and not buying).

I JUST GOT THROUGH FLYING MY S800 and it marks 45 flights! All is WELL...the more I fly, the better it feels, just hope it don't bite me again, my goal is to reach 100 flights by the end of the month. today I took it to 400 AGL...pin dot

A few blinks here and there but over all flying well considering all I have gone through to get here...
