dji naza with gps and 1.2 ghz downlink issues?

I had my MK that I converted to work with dji naza with gps and a 1.2 ghz downlink go into fail safe mode after flying for about 30 seconds. I did auto land by itself but I felt so helpless when I had no control of the craft until it settle on my hand on the landing. Just a day before, a friend of mine with a dji 450 quad flame wheel equipped with a gps and a 900mhz downlink lost control of his quad. His craft was not properly set up on fail safe mode so it flew 1 mile one direction and as he tried to gain control of it on manual mode, it change direction about 120 degress left and kept going for another mile before it went on auto land mode due to battery voltage.

Has anyone experienced this when using dji naza with gps and downlink ?

wich tx do you use

you cant use 2.4 ghz rx/tx sistem and 1.2 ghz downlink, because 1.2 ghz downlink disturbe 2.4 ghz tx (one of the harmonic frequenci of 1.2 is 2.4)

I would assume 5.8 would be OK?

I use 5.8gHz on all my Naza and WKM equipped multi's. You give a little up in distance but the lack of interference is worth it.

1.2ghz seems to work perfectly with Futaba Fasst and other true frequency hopping systems.

were you perhaps using DSM2?

I fly a DX-7 old style 2.4 Ghz and use 1.2 for video down link and a filter on the video Tx with zero issues. I don't have GPS yet but plan on getting one in the future. I've never had any problem and I've flown out to probably 3/4 mile behind trees with no issues. I use a Spektrum AR-600 Rx with no Satellite receiver.

Did the 900mhz work on his quad before the GPS install?? I have been running 900mhz on several quads all have Naza FC without any issues. I have AR 7000 and AR 7010 RX installed. I have the GPS installed on one quad and all works very well. This said, it has yet to see use with the downlink. Just curious as to if his was working before the gps install.

If the failsafe was not setup properly, I doubt we will never know what caused the runaway....

I run 900mHz on the Data Link at 1W, 2.4gHz for RC and 5.8gHz for Video down link at 600mW. I also run two GPS units one for the DJI and the other for my Eagle Tree OSD. No interference at all.
