Great accomplishment here. I am a big fan of plastic model RC conversion because, even though these models have the correct hull shape and are accurate to the original vessels, they were never designed to do anything but sit on a shelf and gather dust! But you have made them operational and they can perform like the real thing. That is always fascinating....

I like the second cruiser here, the one with the curved bow. Is that the Nagato?
Both of these kits are expensive, over $100 USD!

Would like to see more photos especially of them underway. What kind of motors and ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) did you use?

That is a lot of photos, now that I think about it.

Please do keep us informed of your progress and when you finish these cruisers. I am curious if the scale rudders will turn the vessel effectively or not. One usually has to increase the size or area of the rudder to make it effective on such small model ships.

Also, I am familiar with Heng Long; they make a line of inexpensive RC tanks that many have grown to love...

So many pictures; it is difficult to determine which vessel is which.

I am curious as to what type of battery you will use and the types of motors you used for each ship. This is very intriguing and thank you for sharing.

Are you familiar with the fellows who operate scale model conversions in Hong Kong Victoria Park?
