F3b

Thanks Kyle ... I've been watching this link as well. I'm hoping to get down to the Trials to watch. Are most US F3B contests organized on RC Groups or is there a website or other link for dates of future events?

good day, all! Reporting that the sr.team went up to the San Simeon area for a full day of practice, and we got all of that! We made a pitstop at a site Kyle wanted to try, so since it was blowing 20+ in the morn, we made the pitstop and tore it up. I went first, and Kyle says "too heavy", throws plane off, I go fast, he runs for ballast. Ha! We all fly, and then mr. ranger says we cant fly there, as we were leaving anyway. No loss... Off to Wicked Sister, and she was as wicked as you wanted 30-40 mph. Kyle says "how many, WD" I say 16. Silence. He tosses off the Pike, and we all go fast all day. There were cyclical patches, and a few close calls (I had it all the time), but the landing area treated us perfectly, and we all went home sunburnt, windburnt and tired. Fast time was just under 40 (38 or 39 maybe) by Kyle. Brandon really picked up his pace, and found himself out there, and I know he feels better about posting a good score in Germany. A solid outing.

Quick shout out to Thomas at MKS servos- thanks for getting me the goods, Brandon and I are covered for the event. Thanks again.

Thanks to Mike Rutherford for your raffle ticket purchase. Go get em!

Brandon maidened his new FS4's yesterday, big smiles. I can see the stress release, knowing he is all set on airframes.

Guys,

Just wanted to let you know that Glauco Lago, Gordon Buckland and I were all proudly wearing our F3F Jerseys this weekend at the World Soaring Masters. Glauco was given the opportunity at the Pilots Meeting to say a few words about the team and let people know that they could get with both him and Gordon to purchase raffle tickets. I had a lot of people comment about the Jersey and talk about the raffle, so hopefully now that most people should be back from the event you will see an up tick in ticket sales.
