hey, where were you? we went up there, past the rock, took the path up the mountain and kept going till we found the cement path over near the houses. I checked the map and it was the correct spot, but you never showed! we were there from 1:00 till 2:10 and then a ranger told us that it is illegal to fly on ring mountain, so I went and flew at hauke instead.

you'd be surprised, the cement path and baseball diamond both give off some pretty epic thermals.

NICE. at hauke? (personally, ive never severely damaged any of my planes in a crash, I have, however, had an exploding battery on board a plane of mine. but that is certain not to happen again since my addition of telemetry to my larger models).

yup, hit the flaps just as the wind gusted, bringing its groundspeed down to zero, then the wind stopped, so its airspeed was 0 as well. it tip stalled and I didn't quite pull up in time, so the motor broke off its mount. maybe hot glue is not the best for mounting motors =P
