Me too! I'm lost again. @theothercliff I looked back at your post after April 1st and I don't see anything directing me to try anything. My board is not dead it shows the safe page sometimes but won't ARM. Most of the time I get the warning sensor out of cal text. @Lazyzero I tried that. I then had to reload some but not all of the settings. PIDs seemed to be unchanged but I had to reset SelfLevel to AUX and reload the configuration to QuadX. Height Dampening needed to be reset. Remember, the 10" DJI carbon props have less pitch. 10*3.8, where as the 8" props are 8*4.5. The 10" props drew way more than the 8's. I didn't measure it yet, but I could tell by the length of the flight. I could also tell the 10" props had way more lifting power at lower rpm;s which would be good for AP (I think). To be honest, I think I will stick with 8's, but I wish I could find a better quality. So many stores either don't have them or out of stock. Those 10" carbons took a hell of a beating before they broke. They were chopping trees up to get out. I will be doing the rest of what you said when I repair her. |

I was running a heavy 3S pack, 5400. On my previous flight, it ran nice and seemed to be handling the flips really well. With 4S it will be a rocket, but I need to check C rating and amp draws before I try that. I only have two 4S packs, 2000, and 5400. The stock DJI motors are 2212/920kV. They use them on the 3 flame wheels, and these props are supposed to be a match for them. Instead of throttle scaling, or in addition too, I would love to see throttle curves on ht KK2, or else I could just buy a better radio. |

I'm not very familiar with the Atmel MCUs, but I have done some programming on Microchip MCUs and you usually set these 'fuses' at the final stage of the programming procedure (it depends on the programming software used). |

Yeah, I decided especially over asphalt to fly in SL mode, and since I have never flown a sim. "SL mode is my Sim" and is how I'm learning my new maneuvers! It kind of offers me a "safety blanket" as I attempt new maneuvers and learn the corresponding thumb memory before I go Gyro-only at the park this summer to fly Scale and Acro. Thanks, I learned scale flying on my QR Ladybird and transitioned those base skills to the powerful BL V-Tail/Quads, and in the video is me learning from there. My M290 is only running C20 motors https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...er_2050kv.html and with the Uber heavy 30A ESCs.... it already makes for a quite a heavy quad even with the temporary 3S 1000mah LiPo! It feels very powerful though...(indoor hovering) so I won't replace the SimonK 30A with waaaaaay lighter 12A Blues until a later times. Your sweet Armattans must be varry brutish with those large powerful RCXers! be fun to try and "put a saddle on her" tho' (let me fly yours? ) P.S. i like how your video prduction values is going up with the new intros. |

BTW Hobby King has a new "H" Quad frame listed today. It folds even. I am building an FPV bird and think this will do the trick. https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ame_470mm.html I have one on the way. Sudsy |

All of these are just for tests. Reflashing, factory defaults, disconnect KK2 low voltage warning circuitry if using it, linear BEC if you are using a switching BEC, different version firmware, PM KK because you have 2 of 3 with this issue. |

had my 2nd flight yesterday with this board on a small acro frame. Last "season" I was using the normal KK board for my acrobatic flying. I used to use Minsoo Kims FW on the KK board b/c it could be set to "Acro Mode" which basically would let you flip it on the spot, that means, you could hover it in front of your face, thne cranck the roll stick over to one side and it would flip with virtually no loss of height, it was awesome to fly like this. can I achieve this kind of aggressive flight with the KK2 board? I have already ramped up the stick scaling to 100 but it is still way of in terms of aggressive flying. E.g. when you look at some of warthox videos, you see him flipping really fast, this is the kind of behaviour i could reproduce on the old kk board. which dials do i have to turn to get this on kk2? thx guys.

I never understood the need for connectors on motors, if it breaks, you're done flying anyway? Or do most of you carry around spare motors? |

You'll might right. But, what happens, if you want try out different Motors? De-solder it everytime? And keep in mind the cables are very strong. If the copter get hard down, the Motor Mount is breaking, these cables could do more damage on other parts in the copter as long they are solder together.
And Yes, for my Tri I already carry at least one spare motor if I go to our flying area... :-) |

Throttle Settings in Mixer Editor Menu pf the KK Board
I've read somewhere, that is recommended to set the Throttle value in the Mixer Editor Menu on the KK Board to a max. of 80% nor 100 %. This should be done to give the Board / ESC the possibility to re-adjust the Throttle if you push the stick on the transmitter to full throttle.
Can anybody confirm that? |
