If it ain't broke, fix it.

I hope that LCD is removable. I wonder if the LCD programming is rendered useless if you reflash the firmware to a non-HK version.

That's some quick work mate. HK only posted it today (19th).

BTW- where are the threads? I'm interested in the reactions to this board.

I hope it's nice and stable so you don't have to reflash it. It looks great. I hate having to bring the laptop with me to the field whenever I need to tune a Multiwii board. As for the LCD, I'm sure it's not heavy or anything. I would just leave it there.

There are threads on it since May. There are no real reactions, nobody has one yet.
Most people are calling it MutiWii when it's KK, hopefully they will understand the difference.

Hopefully it'll be an affordable board. LCD will be brilliant to fine tune on the spot. Not to bothered about it being on top as I've got the fc protected anyway.

This board should do well so that's good news. Great price as usual from HK.

A bunch of us actually requested a laptop GUI so we wouldn't have to use the intended LCD. You should be able to use an LCD now with MultiWii if you want. At least now the MultiWii can see how well received an LCD interface is and how HK likes to do it.

This gives me hope that HK will come day release a MultiWii board. MultiWii has had an LCD interface from the first day it was released.

KK boards have had LCD for ages, just not onboard.

I don't know of any MultiWii flight controllers with LCD and 4 push buttons to program it on the board, it's always hanging off the side on a lead. I like the look of the HK solution to changing settings, lots of potential.

One of the main points in the video was that it has 8 motor outputs which can support Octo-copters, I can't see it being used for that. Hex and Octo are usually used for heavy lifting cameras for AP etc. you need more than 6DOF for those things, unless this new KK2 board can also take magnetometer, barometer, and GPS, with some way of controlling gimbal servos, I think it will still mainly be used for aerobatic and basic flying quad copters.

I like it also. Might push someone to make a MultiWii with pots also.

I'd like to see a MultiWii version with detachable programming card that has all the pots and LDC screen on it. No real need to keep that extra weight on the quad while it's flying.
