Correct. Setting the sensitivity to 1 is a bad idear since it wil take a long time to wait for diversity to go back to the better signal.
Not very nice if the wrong signal with no video is staying in your goggles when your plane go's down.

I know that there is a 305 diversity receiver out now. But since I have allready own 2 receivers and the EagleEyes... I hope billpa wil come up with a solution.

Hi, We are still working on the issue. Another RC305 has arrived here, and we're getting that set up to test some changes.

All, an alpha (limited testing!) version of our software is posted here, that resolves most of the RC305 switching issues in our testing here. Please give it a try if you are seeing inappropriate diversity switching with this receiver. Note that this is "alpha" software so please do ground testing, etc.!

If this does not resolve your issue, pls let me know as I think we can do further mitigation.

I have updated only the Eagle Eyes with the new firmware and ground testing looks good.
Set diversity sensitivity to 9 to have fast switching between the receivers.
Tested with my double Eagle Eyes setup with 3x RC305.
EE stays on the receiver with good picture and does not switch forth and back or stays on the bad picture.

Flight test will follow hopefully soon. ;-)

PS.: updating only the EE to the newest firmware should be no problem or has something changed relating telemetry or similar?
the rest of the setup (datalogger, OSD Pro,...) was configured with 10.43beta

Much more stable! Sensitivity 5 takes sometimes to long but will go to 9 tomorrow. I made 9 flights today. If the video quality is very bad it keeps fast switching untill 1 is better and stays there Total new for me. I recorded a flight (high wind) and took the audio from the EagleEyes. So you can here all the beeps when switching. I will upload tonight, have to go now.

As prommised, video! Big, big improvement!
EagleEyes nonpublic firmware testing (7 min 44 sec)

A second test with more switches (on the right moments) when flying in and out the beam of the helical.
EagleEyes Diversity - another nonpublic firmware test - more beeps (11 min 24 sec)

That's great news, Rene!!

BlueAngel, I don't believe you'd need to update the the OSD and other firmware (certainly not if not prompted to do so).
