is anyone flying this board? It looks similar to the original crius SE edition but smaller and with a port for GPS

The Crius is actually $10 cheaper than that board, and it takes up less space without all the pins sticking out the sides.

The ATMega2560 chip is the same performance as the ATMega328 chip on the Crius, the only difference is the 2560 has 256k of flash. As the Multiwii code uses just 16k you have 240k empty. Kind of pointless really.

Not really. With the new functionality being added recently, they are bumping into ATMega328P flash and RAM/stack memory limits.

I ordered one of the new Crius boards last week, looking forward to using it. I already have a couple of other Crius boards, and both fly nicely.

ATmega2560 has 4 x 16bit timer. It will be useful for 400Hz Hi-res motor output.

I'm a little confused about the RX input.. does it only work with newer receivers that have ppm sum? or is it possible to use old style rx with individual channel connection?

MultiWii will run with either. Though if you want to run a specific config or extra features (I forgot exactly what) you have to use PPM sum in order to free up pins

Too bad she did not come out with new BARO.
I have to buy a second for my little SE Crius tricopter, then what?
I'll be waiting a bit after this news.

Hey guys
There is lower price in www.rctimer.com.
They also provide I2C-GPS NAV Module and cheap U-blox GPS receiver.

The new SE FC can used for standard recriver, no only PPM SUM style.

Standard receiver can be used up to a Hexa copter, I posted the wiring diagram here but only sum ppm. I will put the standard hookup later.

going to get one of these?
Then please read about bad service from forcehobby@ebay. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...0#post22508305

Apart from that, I have several 5x5 crius lite boards and two crius mini boards which work as expected.
