Question

Power Question


Just bought these motors:

And have these Esc's:

http://www.atlantahobby.com/store/pc...ESC-p16423.htm

And plan to use this battery:

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Lipo_Pack.html

Are my ESC's adequate or do I need to go bigger?

You should be fine. I'm running a 3S 5000mAh, 1440KV motors and a 25Amp speed controller, and things are running fine.

You should have no problem. I run the Avroto motors with 30 amp Maytech ESCs on 3S and the ESCs barely get warm. You picked a good motor too...I've used these on 3 quads and they perform great.

I run Avrotos on 30amp Turnigy Plush and haven't had an issue. You should be just fine.

Very good to hear. Now if I only knew how to mount the motors, nothing lines up. Running this frame:

Overkill, perhaps? Anyone think so?

Try mounting the motor directly to the mount on the frame. Don't use the mount included with the Avroto. You should be able to get at least 2 screws to hold the motor, which is fine. Blue Loctite them, too.

A bit unconventional thinking but heres the way I see it.

589gram battery is good for aprox 1500W for 5 minutes using my rule of thumb that 10grams battery nets 25W power for 5 minute.

1500W / 4 is 375W per motor.

375W / 14.6VDC under load is 25.6 AMPS

Everything looks Kosher to me............
