New Product

NanoWii.. ATmega32u4 based MultiWii FC

Hi,

I would like to present my new NanoWii FC

new version 1.0

see https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...&postcount=204 for chage list

it is based on the ATmega32u4 whitch is the processor of the Arduino Leonardo.
Its advantages compared with a promini (ATmega328p) are:

- USB on chip (no FTDI or UART needed)
- a free serial port (its possible to use a Spektrum Satellite together with the GUI)
- 6 high resolution (11-bit) PWM outputs
- 2.5kB RAM

it comes with the latest Arduino Leonardo bootloader whitch is released with arduino 1.0.1 so you just need to select the leonardo to use it.
The onboard 6dof IMU is a MPU-6050 (Gyro & ACC)

it is supported by MultiWii since 2.0 (support was adjusted in dev20120606).

it will be sold by paul bake(flyduino.com).
the first charge should be available next week
it is available now http://flyduino.net/NanoWii-ATmega32...ed-MultiWii-FC

hope you enjoy it

[update 27 Jul. 2012]
For those who have ESC's that won't arm with the NanoWii.. here is a solution
http://forum.flyduino.net/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=41

NanoWii fun..
CIMG4030 (7 min 2 sec)

warthox hardcore acro
mwc quad // nanowii board (2 min 35 sec)

[/update]

regards

Felix

That's pretty cool!
What are the gyros and acc used? ITG3205/3200 and ADXL345/BMA180 ?
And how much will it cost?
Any idea to launch Baro+Mag also?

Ohh, nice and compact, I like it! And yes a baro would be nice to have there and possible a mag too if there's enough space for one.

Hi Vineet,

it uses a MPU-6050 whitch is a combined gyro & ACC sensor.

yes it works with 3,3 -5v (even if this is not atmel datasheet conform) i checked it

to use it with 1s it is better to connect the lipo direct to VCC so there is no 5v regulator reducing the voltage in between.

yes US shipping is in general no problem, only paypal is a bit picky, state have to be only 2 letters in the shipping adress, you can enter a state manually on the shipping adress, but if you enter the full name those are mostly not accepted by paypal.
Simply take the same adress as billing and shipping adress, and only the 2 letters, then paypal accept it.

http://flyduino.net/NanoWii-ATmega32...ed-MultiWii-FC

I took the wrong one (Miniwii) but the picture and the price are exactly same as the nanowii!!!
help me please!

PS: I can't even find again the page I've ordered from on the flyduino site ??? just 5 minutes after paying!
