First radio system

Hi this is my first post on the forum.
I'm just getting into RC and I have read piles of info. I was wondering if I should start with a conventional radio (Futaba or similar) or go with this new nunchuck/uhf system of fmkit's? (My long term goal is longer range capable fpv.)
I really appreciate the info on these forums and in particular people like fmkit with innovative ideas.
Thanks.

FlyingFox1, with nunchuck you can have more channels than any other system,
combinations of two buttons seriall clicks with joystick and acc limitless.
Most important feature for FPV flyer is multi-master, your spotter can overtake control instantly by moving joystick off neutral, pilots can be miles apart and fly same plane together. Receiver works as relay station letting you know that other party wants you to continue flight.
I have plenty of stock, redy made power-pods, repeaters and nunchucks just haven't updated my website for long cause development is ongoing, updated firmware/hardware out about every 2-3 weeks.
You can have complete FPV set cheaper than Hubsun and way-way more durable, will PM you.

FMKit, these new powerpods look AMAZING! I'm really interested, especially as I've been getting into night flying lately (I love my PZ0420 camera!).

thanks ! I have these power-pods less than 2 weeks, liked them so much had to replace normal carbon pods on all my flying wings, weight improved about 10g, fiberglass is stronger, less wires (no servo ext. needed), powerful lights very useful to signal low batt.

random question:

if ive a plane which needs to have the battery directly connected to ESC (>20A), is it possible to just connect the 2JST together on the RX (/me has no voltmeter atm), or do you have to solder a parallel JST plug on the ESC to the RX (or to power the RX from a separate 1, 2 or 3S batt)

RX is powered by ESC BEC, if you plug throttle RX should become alive but servo pins still need power - connect receivers JST to main power or use external UBEC (connect to unused servo pins)
If you connect just JST RX is getting power via diode connected to servo pins, however voltage drop because of digital servos or power LEDs may reset the RX, always make sure ESC line is delivering +5v, RX needs some 150mA , any ESC w/BEC OK.

update:
every RX now has repeater function, if you bring to field more than one plane use them as repeater by entering code 4.6. all PWM and LEDs turned off, just status LED is on, repeater is bidirectional, sends control packets and telemetry same time.
Tilt output is gyro stabilized, lately I fly with #18 keycam and jello is gone, yesterday flew couple packs at sunset, here is 1minute video that wasn't meant to show off camera stability just one can see that narrow lens CMOS is usable even on 300g frame at low light

700g wing doesn't need gyros try something 300g, finless almost no sweep

I just fixed 50mw green laser onto my Sony SX41, tonight will try to record my wing all by myself.

Here is latest pwr-pod, it hasn't flew yet:
