It sounds like the switch to 2s and the larger prop has gone well Phil. Another ounce is quite some saving. Does the power seem more in keeping with the plane now? I've been told 60 watts/lb for scale flight for these types of plane. If your cruising at 2/3 throttle would be about right now!

Thats a good way to put it, the power being in keeping with the plane. The model flies more scale like on 2S. I'll be using both 2 and 3S though, She pulls a beautiful wide loop on 3S!

An 808 keychain cam was velcroed to the brim of my hat to get this. Not bad, but I can get better at following a model with practice. This cam will be great for onboard video as well.

Superb video Phil. Lovely to see the Albi flying so well.
I'll have to get one of those cameras, the quality is amazing!

Cheap too... 8 bucks and shipping. The memory card was twice the cost of the cam.

Just picked one up on EBay, 9.99 inc 4 gb card and free shipping, what's that about 15 bucks total. Unbelievable.

Great Build and pics on this.
glad to get your additional advice when I PM'd you. It will probably be a month before I start this as I'm building a 48" Sport scratch build right now called "The Clean Sweep 48" from RCME Mag.

Great build thread, tips, and colour scheme!

I bought this last year to put together during my wife's surgery recovery, and ended up waiting til now to start because of complications.

FINALLY STARTING! Ha Ha.

I'm using the following main components, but haven't decided on a prop yet.

3s2200 mah 30c lipo
EMax GT2218/11 motor 930kv / props: 10x4.7 - 12x6
ESC: Sky Power 30A w/4A SBEC
Pilot: GMPA2298 (used in the parkflyer biplanes)
Guns: GPMA3022 (Fokker DVII ep arf guns)

I'm still researching which paint scheme to use. I'll probably use one that does not have lozenge pattern on it. Plane is kind of small for all that. The lozenge can be, and has been, done and looks very nice. I think I'd wait to build 42" or larger for that much effort tho. It would be easier in ways to mask off and paint.
