HobbyZone RTF Super Cub Spinner Problem

Has anyone taken the spinner off from a HobbyZone Super Cub? I can't seem to get mine to budge and don't wantto break it. I need to take the spinner and the prop off so that I can change my cowl. Any help is appreciated.

gravity is optional
The spinner just snaps onto the hex that hold on the prop, so you just have to pinch the spinner near the bottom( the bigger end that is not pointed) and pull it off. It takes some force, but the spinner is durable, so do not be afraid to use some force.

Thanks James! I'll give her some brute force.

I can't believe it! I gave her all she's got, Captain! She still wont come off and if I give her any more, the fuselage is liable to blow!

They do glue them sometimes. Get some pliers, grip-pinch the tip really well, grab the root of the prop securely > now twist and pull firmly and slowly back and forth.
Annoying, eh?

Glue? Oh I hope not for your sake. Mine came off with the pinch and pull method. It never returned!

Loosened it with pliers and got it the rest of the way by hand. I think it must have been glued.

Mine was put on with what looked like white silicone. After i replaced my cowl i just pushed it back on and there it stayed until i needed it off again.

Aha! No wonder it came off so hard! My spinner is a little chewed up from the pliers but it survived the operation.

I didn't see any glue either. Must have been the threads or something. Oh, well!

I know this is old, just wondering if anyone figured out that you can just bend the flaps back on the spinner and we'll spin it off/on the threads. it seems impossible to pull it off without damaging something so I always screw mine on and off.

The trick is to not worry about breaking the spinner by bending back the two parts that surround the propeller. I saw it done on a couple of YouTube videos but didn't think mine was of the same design. Once I read the comments in this thread, I just bent the flaps back and unscrewed the whole thing. There's nothing in the instructions that is helpful.
