Gens Ace iMars AC adapter issue

First off I'm new to RC. I purchased the Gens Ace iMars 50W charger and the AC adapter recommended for it (2-3cell charger Switching Adapter_DK-C1000-S) from When I attempt to charge the Sky Lipo 2650mAh 11.1V "Power Supply Low Voltage" pops up and apparently it doesn't charge. I toggled some of the buttons and the input voltage is 12.57 volts and the out put is 10.641 V. This also happens with the other two batteries that I ordered. The AC adapter is 12v. Am I missing something or did I buy a lemon?
Thanks, Steve

That seems to be a 6S charger.
Did you set the charger to LiPO and 3S?
It may not auto-detect and it could be set to something else.

I would call them and get them to walk you though it.

The charger is recommended for 1S to 6S LiPos. I followed the video posted on and I'm fairly certain I set it up properly. No reply yet from Hobbypartz' tech support though.

Googling around, I couldn't find any specs for the PSU, but based on the pictures of a little plastic brick, I'm guessing the output is pretty small. Does it say on the brick?

What is the charger set for?

My guess is you are trying to draw too much from it.

PSU input is 100v-240v, output is 12v, 1.0 amps.

Charger is set for 3S, 2600mAH, C=2.60

I see the problem now. I set the C to below 1.0 A and it works now. About how long is it going to take to charge at that setting?

Thanks for your assistance on this.

Well I found another power supply that provides 3A;. The charger's on board programming advises 2.60A from my LiPos. So I'm happy.

The charger came with some alligator clips that I assume are for getting power from a battery. Do people connect these things to cars and/or jump starters?

They are often connected to a car battery, yes.
But not jump starters.
