Great news he found the plane. Sounds like it went further downwind that we thought.

LOL I was going to let that point go since it was what Rick was calling it during the SAR flights.

How do you guys handle video frequency control at one of these things? You'd have to assume lots of people are using say... 1280mhz, and if someone turns on their 1280 video tx while someone is using the same frequency flying around already there could be issues.

Have you guys set up a board like 72mhz channel boards with chips?

We used a dry erase board to sign up on..... everyone was very courteous
You have to stress in the Pilots meeting to not turn your equipment on unless you are on the board for that frequency.

Then we suggested to turn on your ground station first to make sure no one else was broadcasting.

Remind them to turn their equipment off and erase their name from the board when done. We let 4 to 5 go at a time on the different frequencies.
If there was a backlog we had a clip board for overflow. That didnt happen a lot tho. Greg Burke (Goldcraft) Handled the pilots and frequency duties like a champ.

I'm planning a Fall fly-in in late September, but it will not be exclusively FPV. But FPV will be welcome!
