Stupid Gravity
i just got one also, have not started building mine yet. it comes mostly assembled, looks like you could build it in one night watching tv building only during the commercials. by the way no painting is required

Here she sits after about 2.5 hours! Just need to set the trims, ,verify the CG, and charge the battery. As she sits AUW is 11 5/8oz (330grams), basically ready to fly!

Pilot44, as fogflyer said, no painting, also no gluing. Just cut alittle off the aileron hinge, cut the servo holes, snap on the wings, attach the flying wires, only thing that could be remotely considered "tricky" would be the linkage for the control surface. Very easy plane to assemble

Fogflyer, I pre-ordered mine from Tower, they show in stock on the website:
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0001P?&I=LXEZE7

Hope to get in the maiden this Sunday if the weather holds!

I saw one fly on Tuesday. They fly pretty fast, so pick a large area.

Jerry,
Are you saying you got the one you are building from Tower???

The website still says "Late Nov." for stock. Did you just "buy it now" anyway and get it? I signed up for email notification when they came in stock and never received anything. Now I am confused. Well... I guess I will call Tower tomorrow and see if it is in stock.

Thanks!

Thanks, will be using a baseball field, actually two fields back to back.

PS: Was it a good flyer, or just barely flying?

Hey Jerry,
Do you know the weight of the battery pack included?
I am hoping to run it on an etec 1200 pack.

When I checked earlier it said in stock, I refreshed my IE browser cache, and it now says early November I did get mine from Tower, I ordered it back in Sept.

I was also planning on using ETEC1200 2Cell in series. The provide 7 cell 300Mah nmhyd's weigh 54 grams with connectors, the 1200Etec 2 cell pack with connectors also weigh 54 grams I will just have to change the connectors on the ESC to BEC/JST, and be ready to go. Plan on using the provided 300Mah pack for the maiden though. In the manual they say they had to add 3.5 grams to the nose with the provide pack, mine weighs exactly what they say in the manual so expect to have to add the same amount of weight. Bottom line, Great Planes said quick build, and it was a quick build, Great Planes said 330grams AUW, mine came in exactly at 330grams AUW (I used GWS Pico Standard Servos).

Good Luck
