standard bolt pattern?

is there a standard mounting pattern size for parkfly brushless out runners? the two different turnigy motors i have are 16mm spacing and the dji motor i have is 16mm x 19mm

im designing a quadcopter frame in mastercam for a class projects and im down to just motor mounts now.

any input would be great. thanks everyone.

Most 28mm-diameter motors I've got use a standard 16/19mm spacing. One of them (a 450 heli motor) has all four holes on a 16mm circle, and they're tapped for two different sizes of screw.

Infuriating, isn't it? There are several hole patterns, and some manufacturers even have their own "specials" that conform to none of the standard ones. Seems odd that the industry never got it together on this.

I can't find an online version of the dimension drawings for the standard C28, C35, and C42 motors (the ones included with so many motors) but if there is a "standard", that's it. I'll try to take some decent photos tonight and post them here.

16 x 15, 16 x 19, 19 x 19, 19 x 25, 25 x 25 seems to cover the variations on motors up through the 28xx and 40xx models. Some of the bigger motors are 30 x 30 and 43 x 43 I think.

Lots to choose from here as far as sizes and types:

Thanks for the info guys. I don't know why I didn't think about just slotting the bolt pattern so it would fit whatever in the 28mm range

Like I said, if there is a "standard" for 28mm, 35mm, and 42mm motors, this is it. Note that some manufacturers use the 25x25 hole pattern on their 35mm motors though, just to keep us guessing. Some also deviate slightly from the outer hole pattern dimensions too, for some unfathomable reason.

No, I don't know why the 19x16 and 25x19 patterns exist. I can't think of a reason why somebody would think the short axis would be a good idea. If a motor is big enough for the long axis, why not make both of them long?

This crap drives me crazy, in case you hadn't already guessed...
